Steven Kester is Director of North America Government Affairs for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where he is responsible for public policy efforts and supporting external research and strategic business initiatives. His areas of expertise include IT security, data center innovation and energy efficiency, high performance computing, competitive procurement and advanced technology research programs.
Steven serves on the Executive Committee of the Information Technology Sector Coordinating Council (IT SCC) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and is Co-Chair of the IT SCC Supply Chain Risk Management Subcommittee. He also works with the U.S. Coalition for the Advancement of Supercomputing with representatives from the U.S. Department of Energy’s national laboratories and leading supercomputing companies. Steve is the past chair of the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association’s Public Policy Committee and Energy Efficiency Working Group.
